What the counts are, and what they are not
What is counted
The list called What we practiced shows three numbers for each day: items, items without a cue, and items with a cue.
It also shows the names of the activities, and on how many days this week something was practiced.
What the counts are
This is a count of what was practiced. It does not measure speech or language.
An item is counted when you leave it. It counts as with a cue if any cue was shown for it.
An item that is on the screen when you select Stop for now is not counted.
What the counts are not
They are not a mark. For an item you say aloud or write, the tool does not know what the response was.
They do not say how anyone is doing. They are not there to be compared, day with day or person with person.
A day's line adds up the sets of that day. Nothing else is worked out from the counts.
There is no total across days, no percentage, no average and no chart. There is no comparison between days or between people, and no word about change.
Your choice
The list is kept only on this device. You can print it, delete a day, delete all of it, or switch it off in Settings. When it is off, nothing is added.
Plain explanations
This is practice material. It is not medical advice and it is not speech therapy. It does not replace a speech-language pathologist.
Sudden new trouble speaking or understanding is an emergency. Call 911 or your local emergency number now. Tell your doctor or speech-language pathologist about trouble swallowing or changes in mood.
